The Nature Trail |
A short time ago, a trail was established within Esperanza Estates. Some folks call it a nature trail; others refer to it as a walking trail. It really makes no difference what you call it. It's just a good way to get some exercise and enjoy nature at the same time. The trail starts and ends at the swimming pool. Local residents have contributed their time and talent in creating signs and wooden bridges along the way. Why not walk the trail now? All you need is a little time and a good pair of walking shoes. |
You hear the sound of water. Then you see it. It's a pretty fountain, and the sound reminds you to go back to the pool area and refill your water bottle at the water fountain. It's always a good idea to bring a little jug of water with you while walking. You continue West to Portillo, and cross the street. |
You head west from the pool area, past the shuffleboard courts towards Camino Del Portillo. Notice the shuffleboard area as you walk by. No one here now, but you understand that it can get plenty busy at times. |
Across Portillo, you see the first of several signs which will mark your way. The sturdy steps and the row of palm trees all look new. The trail will take you between the rear patios of townhomes on the left and a dry wash on the right.
But first, there is something you want to do. |
Go ahead. I'm sure that the owner won't mind. You'll see one of the nicest lawns in all of Esperanza Estates. Maybe the best! Say hello if you see the owner, but for now, it's time to continue walking.
